ArtWorks presents Dana Warner

Each week ArtWorks will feature a local talent who will host a talk about the journey that led them to their art career. This presentation and project allow you to explore art careers & experiment with media.

IMAGINE meeting a working artist, creative professional, or design business owner!  Dana Warner recently retired from Hillsborough County Public Schools after 20 years of service. She was the Supervisor for K-12 Art Education for 7 years, and a high school art teacher for 13 years. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Warner was an Assistant Curator of Education at the Polk Museum of Art, and Curator of Education at the Florida Gulf Coast Art Center. Currently, she is Executive Director of a new art-related nonprofit in Tampa called Interplay Space, Inc. And when she makes the time, she is a practicing mixed media artist. Mrs. Warner has a Master’s degree in Art Education, and Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida.

After a brief Q&A, your host will share their work, process & vision in the form of a project for you to try yourself! Ages 16 & up welcome.
