Social Entrepreneurship Education Day (SEED)

This event is for anyone interested in learning more about social entrepreneurship and sharing best practices!

Social Entrepreneurship Education Day, initially launched in 2016. The event provides the community with an opportunity to engage in learning about social entrepreneurship, leverage design thinking, and develop prototypes to address social issues. The day engages K-12 and college educators and students to work alongside community members to leverage design thinking develop practices to co-create innovative human centered solutions that address critical challenges that face all communities. The event is free and open to the public.

Small teams will be formed. An overview of design thinking will be provided, and then the teams will identify a United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), and focus on a localized approach to solving that challenge. Attendees can form teams of their own, serve as mentors/coaches, or volunteers to help facilitate the day.
