Learning Civility with Kuany Kiir Kuany from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development

Students in Tampa Bay have a unique opportunity to learn how to truly make a difference! We invite you move beyond talk to action in your careers and communities. Taught by Kuany Kiir Kuany, 28, a native of South Sudan, a project officer at The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (UNESCO MGIEP), is activating and training youth around the world to encourage positive action and leadership toward greater civility.

Join us for a series of FREE LeaderShops, to learn soft skills needed as effective leaders and citizens. All you have to do is apply to attend, pick a day and location, then join us in becoming change agents!

Tuesday 2/19 at USF St. Petersburg. // Wednesday 2/20 at USF Tampa // Thursday 2/21 at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg

Breakfast, Lunch and a snack will be provided and every evening we’ll weave in a cultural or artistic experience and share that with the public.

For the first time, Kuany will bring his work and personal experiences to the United States for a workshop series that is open to members of the community.  The series, called Common Ground, is brought to you by USF St. Petersburg, the Open Partnership Education Network (OPEN) and the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
